At the property’s culinary heart lies The Restaurant, where guests dine beneath the dramatic mushroom rosette ceiling and enjoy views into the open kitchen—an engaging stage where Chef Ponzo and his team bring their menus to life. His Italian heritage and classical training shine through in dishes such as house-made pastas crafted daily (like Cappelletti with squash, walnut, brown butter, and sage), locally caught white fish mousse, and comforting yet refined plates like steak frites and traditional tiramisu.

Complementing the indoor dining room, The Terrace offers a serene outdoor setting on the covered porch and private garden, perfect for savoring long meals that flow with the rhythms of the seasons.

Equally celebrated is The Royal’s thoughtful wine program, which balances international classics with a strong dedication to local terroir. With 20 percent of the cellar devoted to Canadian selections—many from Prince Edward County itself—the list reflects both global excellence and the distinctive character of Ontario wines.
