Twilight Symphony at the Castle: The magic returns

February 4, 2025
Maestro Paolo Busato and Casa Loma Symphony Orchestra present new program including Rock Symphony with special guests

Opening night at Twilight Symphony at the Castle is bustling with glamour, old-world luxury and the anticipation of an unforgettable evening about to begin. On arrival at Casa Loma’s grand entrance, guests travel the historic 800 ft tunnel below Austin Terrace, to the Carriage Room in The Stables for a one-of-a-kind performance bathed in candlelight.

The evening’s experience begins with guests being treated to prosecco, wine and delicious canapés at the Carriage Room bar where the stable stalls are transformed into cozy nooks, with cocktail tables and candles. In an intimate 150-seat setting, the program features two different musical themes running each weekend.

Friday nights feature From Broadway to Opera, with soaring songs and hummable hits from the most beloved operas and Broadway shows, performed by Toronto’s adored operatic duo, soprano Sara Papini and her partner, tenor Joey Niceforo.

Rock Symphony is back for Saturday nights – featuring guest vocalists Cleopatra Williams and Justin Di Donato, and the best of symphonic classic rock ranging from Queen, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin to Aerosmith and Prince and more. Cleopatra Williams has shared stages with Sting, Justin Bieber, Michael Bublé, Foreigner, The Tenors, and more, and returns with partner Justin Di Donato, lead singer of Toronto’s award-winning rock band, the Cold Weather Captains. But the main draw here is the Casa Loma Symphony Orchestra, led by Maestro Paolo Busato, in a space filled top to bottom with candles – it’s quite literally breathtaking.
